Private lessons are available for 40, 50 and 60 minute time slots.  Lessons will also include a theory component.  As students become more advanced, separate theory lessons (group or private) are recommended.

 ​♪  Nine equal post-dated cheques are due on the first lesson in September, dated for the 15th  of each month (from Sept 15 to May 15).   Monthly fees are based on 34 lessons in the year, including a couple of group lessons, performance classes and recitals.  The registration fee per student secures a lesson time for the year and covers supplies used:  a practice binder, incentives, use of music from the lending library and printed material such as personalized technique sheets.
 
Fees:      for 2022/23   
  • Registration fee per student (or per family)
  • $124 per month (9 cheques) for 40 minute private lesson
  • $153 per month (9 cheques) for 50 minute private lesson
  • $182 per month (9 cheques) for 60 minute private lesson
  • Theory  – group lessons offered as needed in preparation for exams
  • Partner option:  30 or 35 minute private lesson and 15 minute shared activities (can be offered depending on another students’ level and availability)
 
♪  Lesson cancelled by me:  will be rescheduled or fully refunded
 
♪  Lesson cancelled by student:  are forfeited or may be rescheduled (if given 24 hours notice and a suitable alternate time can be arranged for the same week).  In the case of illness, a lesson may be rescheduled once in the year.  It is your responsibility to ask me about another time.
 
♪  Students are expected to arrive on time, with all their materials (ie. technique book, sheet music), whether they have used them the previous week or not, memorized or not.
 
♪  Students are expected to arrive with clean hands, washed with warm water and soap.  I keep the piano clean to prevent the spread of colds and infection.  They are welcome to use the bathroom at my house if they forget.
 
♪  Practice times should be regular and written down in the practice book (5 times per week minimum).  A general guide for minimum daily practice time is:
Level Primer/Level 1:          15 minutes                 
Level 2:                                  25 minutes                 
Level 3,4,5:                            30 - 35 minutes
​Level 6 or higher:                45 minutes and higher
